Maid of the Mist

Maid of the Mist

The Maid of the Mist is a boat tour of Niagara Falls. The actual boats used are also named Maid of the Mist, followed by a different Roman numeral in each case. The boat starts off at a calm part of the Niagara River, near the Rainbow Bridge, and takes its passengers past the American and Bridal Veil Falls, then into the dense mist of spray inside the curve of the Horseshoe Falls, also known as the Canadian Falls.

Linking to Alphabe-Thursday for letter 'M'.

  3. I've ridden on it twice. I only live 40 minutes from the falls, so it is easily accessible to me. Love that splash of mist on my face while wearing a garbage bag though... so much fun!

  4. I went there as a child many, many years ago. We didn't go on the Maid of the Mist, but that's OK. It was cold when we were there and I still remember the mist. It just made it seem so much colder.
